(no longer a fan) on TV, when I was a little kid. Putting aside those shows, I didn't watch almost anything related to anime till 2012 when I started picking new interests. After that, anime/manga/webtoons became a small part of my life. |

It’s great to hear the team had that kind of support system in place though—having senpai/kohai dynamics for mod training sounds kind of anime-coded in the best way possible lol. Meetings to vote on tricky calls also shows how much thought went into even the small decisions. Definitely not something casual users ever see from the outside.
And yeah, it must’ve felt rewarding when users appreciated your help, especially in those heavier cases. That kind of impact, even if behind-the-scenes, really matters. And hey—free MAL supporter status plus good karma? Not a bad deal at all.
I didn’t realize the MAL Discord was officially listed now! That’s a nice touch. Might just check it out for curiosity’s sake, even if it’s probably chaos in there half the time 😂
And yeah, I’ve heard that a lot of those teams moved over to Discord now, which makes sense with how forums have evolved. Still, getting MAL Supporter perks while helping keep the site clean is a pretty fair trade-off, especially if you're active on the site anyway. Must’ve been satisfying to keep things running smooth even when discussions got chaotic.
Is there an official mal server on discord ? like where lot of members are ?
