U know the people who aim to watch like 10 Anime every season/ multiple new Anime every year.

First of all, why? what's point of this exactly? It feels like they do it because they feel obligated to keep up with what kind of new Anime comes out, even if they aren't very interested in them. I would imagine those people don't even enjoy those shows as much as they could because they're watching so many at the same time, and they would probably experience burnout.

Secondly, how do they find the time for this?? are they all NEETS? is that it?

seasonals are easy to watch, good and a great way to watch anime when you don't have time to watch a crap ton of shows.

For me I can have a schedule of when I can watch anime when needed because it's at the same time every week.

Has a 8.60 mean score

Watching 10 seasonals a week takes 4, 5 hours at most. Are you sure you don't have at least 5 hours of spare time every week?

As for watching various series simultaneously, to some people it works and to some others it doesn't. That's just a question of habit.

while i wouldn't say i aim to watch a set amount of shows every season, i do end up watching about 10 per season and honestly, for me at least, everything you said is blatantly false.

i do this because i enjoy it, it's fun and that is the point of it, nothing more. i do not do this out of obligation, i like to follow stuff weekly, to talk with my friends about how this week's episode was, what we consider worth watching from a season, what is a good time though trashy and what sucks, all of this i consider a part of my experience of this hobby.

watching those all at the same time does not hurt my enjoyment as far as it looks to me and it does not lead to burnout at all, why would 10 episodes a week, maybe a couple a day on average lead to burnout? if anything, burnout happens to me from binging and watching seasonally is a lot more healthy i would say.

i'm not gonna lie, currently i am a NEET unfortunately enough, but even when i wasn't and i'm pretty sure even when i won't be, i will still, very easily have time for my seasonals, for something like 8-15 shows every season, without a single issue, older anime and binge watching will take a hit though.

1) If I don't like them, I'll drop them immediately. No time wasted.

2) 10 seasonals per week = 1-2 episodes per day. If you don't have at least one hour of free time per day for your hobbies, I'm sorry for you.

3) People talking about lesser known seasonals might help finding hidden gems. Kageki Shoujo, Super Cub, Mashiro no Oto. Even Odd Taxi, if its score didn't skyrocket after it finished airing.

I do not aim to watch a certain number of seasonal anime in a given season, however given that I enjoy a wide variety of genres, this usually leads to me watching 20-30 seasonal anime. I prefer to watch anime when it is airing because I like discussing about an episode with friends after it airs and also to avoid potential spoilers.

Time is not an issue watching 20-30 series per week is only 1-2 hours per day and can be planned around eating and other downtime. I dont believe having 1-2 hours of free time per day for your hobbies is unrealistic.

Its easier to find time in the middle of a busy schedule to watch a single episode of a weekly anime.... once you have a job and obligations, binge watching becomes pretty much impossible. Thats why i mostly watch weekly shows

"Secondly, how do they find the time for this?"

Following 10 seasonals weakly is less strain and it's better manageable than binge-watching 13 episode season at one sitting.

It's actually quite the opposite from what you assume. Seasonals are more suitable and way easier to fit in a busy schedule.

I watch seasonals 'cause I can't find any good shows to binge anymore.
Also the feeling of been left with questions can be both annoying and fun when you get one episode a week.
I watch my anime mostly on the weekend. Friday nights or Saturday nights. I do that rather than waste my money down town in bars. It's my relaxing time, it's easier to burnout if you binge watch.
Does that answer you question about me/us who watch weekly?

It's because I find it interesting to discuss those said anime. It also helps me if I miss out something from that said Anime. If I asked that particular question in an already aired anime I would get the answer later and very less people tend to discuss those already aired anime and the answers wouldn't be diverse but in airing Anime, more people answer the question and the answers are more diverse.
I'm also watching them to write reviews too.
Also, I do not care about meaningless numbers. If my number of Anime just increase then it would just make me feel sad rather than be proud of it.
And I'm not even watching many seasonals now as I watched them before.

It saves a lot of time bruh, like each ep per week.
Also, If I don't feel like watching any seasonal, I don't watch it. I don't feel obliged.

You realize that you don't need to binge, right? You could watch completed anime one episode per week, just like seasonals. All watching seasonals does is take away every other option.

Well, it's mainly because i want to look for a good slice of life comedy/romance show. Though most of seasonals are filled by cgdct or isekais, sometimes i come across one or two anime that i like. So whenever a new season started i gave a chance to about half of the first shows airing that season. After 5 episodes or so i deleted most of them or didn't even bother to add it if i got bored.

Also i don't do this because i feel obliged. This is all for my own entertainment. You wouldn't feel burnout unless you watch all of them without anyone to talk to. That's just lonely and i wouldn't want to do that.

Actually It's the complete opposite. People who don't have time prefer seasonal .

So 1st of all no one watches anime because they are obligated to .We watch the ones which peeks our interest .

2ndly you could say, It's hot in the community. So it does not feel like you are the only one watching it.

Then if you watch an anime which is not seasonal , you are likely to binge it, Which wastes so much time. But if you follow any seasonal you are bound to watch just 1 episode per day or maybe in 2 days . So you enjoy anime every day plus you get to do your work, which is the complete opposite of what you said.

I have personally experienced this. When I had time I did not care about seasonal and used to binge watch . But now as I am focused on my studies I find Seasonal to be a better option .

You don't need too much time to watch seasonals. It's not like you watch 10 episodes every day. I think it's the best option to watch new anime when you don't have a lot of time.

Watching 19 seasonals:

Monday - 3
Tuesday - 1
Wednesday - 2
Thursday - 1
Friday - 4
Saturday - 6
Sunday - 2

Saturdays are the exceptions but usually 2-4 per day.

1- If people are confortable watching lot's of anime, let them, most people here aren't children and know their limits, if they're not feeling burnout after watching a lot of anime, good on them
I used to watch a lot of seasonals, not out of obligation, but because I had time and enjoyed watching anime, I don't see what's wrong with spending time on your hobby

2-How long do you think watching a couple episodes of seasonal anime a day takes? Seems like you're overestimating how long it takes by a lot

It's pretty easy for series such as Jahy-sama, Dragon Maid or Meikyuu Black Company. They're mostly light hearted episodic comedy(they may have a bit of overarching plot, but not noteworthy imo) where you don't have to digest much, like a light snack inbetween.

I started watching seasonals recently when i suddenly had time after a heart op. The reason, because it's a small time commitment per anime each week and i can watch a decent variety of shows and genres this way.

I started seasonals in summer 2019s and although not every show is worth while I've come across some great shows that I might have missed otherwise, ie Vivy, Slime 300, Acudama Drive, Welcome to Demon School Iruma, Tonikawa, Wave Listen to Me, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken & PriConne.

That said I've had my fill of seasonal and have decided to cut them down to about 5 per season so I can concentrate on watching older, completed shows.

Try jumping between seasonals and binging long running anime. I watch seasonals to see new content and to have fun anime discussions with others. I know recently i have had a backup on my seasonals cause i started to watch one piece and that has interfered with stuff.
