Netflix JP again dropped the first two episodes, just like the first part.

That definitely wasn’t Lu, like no chance at all lol. It really kinda amazes me how Lu used to be such a regular, with all sorts of her tricks and methods and then all of a sudden, the author forgot he wrote one such character. Though that’s rather part of history now, so we move. We’ll see her in this adaptation, so that’s all that matters.

The sequence with Osaragi was fucking metal btw, that one female character I’m glad the author didn’t forget about xD

I'll watch it soon and update the comment... For now, my thoughts are the same as what I said about episode one.

👇
https://myanimelist.net/forum/?goto=post&topicid=2220516&id=73011421

Both comments got updated:

Ohhh! Things have escalated to Sakamoto’s wife now! If anything happens to her, Sakamoto will go into Gear Fifth… or maybe even Ultra Instinct! Who knows, hahaha…

Everyone’s starting to gain stronger powers now—like Lu and Shin—and the explanation at the beginning of the episode was really simple, yet they mastered it instantly.

As for the second fight… it ended with “I love you,” just like I described before! Ugh… please… can we finally start taking things seriously? When will this show truly dive into serious combat?

I mean seriously, the assassins are supposed to be way stronger than criminals who were already sentenced to death, and yet two of them were killed off so easily… Why did they hype them up so much in part one if they were going to be this weak?

Let’s wait for next week and see Sakamoto go Super Saiyan! See you then!

It's hard to create a relaxing atmosphere in the anime full of murder, but Sakamoto Days keep trying, there's no spot to put in comedic scene so it put in after end credit.

Lu got drunk and locked into the fight lol, she and Shin both did their part to take this guy out. Though it was Hyo that ultimately delivered the killing blow 💀

Osaragi, muh WIFE 😩 she’s so cool lol. I’ll never tire of seeing her in action, loved her fight against Dump. Meanwhile the death row inmate threat is hitting a little too close to home now that one of them pulled up to the store. 😬
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

Ok! Mafia Drunk Lu is in a different mood, I've never thought I'd see out of her! One point I thought, "Is this Drunk or Yandere Lu?" Not just that, but her voice completely went to a 180! And this is the same VA for Ochaco from MHA! The voicing ranges of JPN VA's have Istg are different!

With Mafia Lu out of the way...

KAWAIII! Orasagi/Depressed Yor's such a badass and cool chick against her fight with Dump! Speaking of, her backstory sorta reminds me a bit of Toga's from MHA, which she wanted to be loved, and well, Orasagi gave her that as she kills Dump with a smile. (Which was so cute BTW I luv mah bby so much)

But damn! We got a new threat with Minimalist popping into the Sakamoto store?! He better not harm Aoi and their daughter, istg.

Osaragi is best girl, no question.

Lu and Shin with a well-executed tag to close out their fight, Osaragi doing her best to educate the baka gaijin Dump on proper spiritual practices, and Apart is apparently not too keen on following orders. Very interesting. Shoutouts to the JAA Floaters. Being a janitor who has to clean up after assassins with superpowers must be a very sucky job.

Oh, so he can't see the future after all. Shin's new ability is kinda like Ultra Instinct. Except he sees other people's subconscious and can move faster than them. Still such a cool ability.

Wtf was that. Lu drank absolute ethanol? Oh no. She is hot! Loved that. I hope we'll get more of mafia drunk Lu. :3 Would be a waste if we don't.

And just when I thought that was it, Osaragi knocked it out of the park! That fight scene was insane. I enjoyed it way more than episode 1. Maybe the animation did get an upgrade. Hope the rest of the series will look more like this. It might not be Mappa or ufotable level but it doesn't need to be. It's still very enjoyable. I'm just glad the fights are easy to follow instead of being smeared by stupid flashy effects and annoying music.

I initially wasn't really excited for Sakamoto Days Part 2 especially with so many other great shows this season but I think this episode changed my mind.

Yea idc what anyone says I loved Sakadays part 1 and I’m happy to have the gang back this season, especially nice seeing Lu and Osaragi getting so much shine in the second episode of this back to back. Hayamin with another badass quiet assassin character, how are you this gorgeous and so badass wtf. Cracked up so hard seeing her absolutely destroy ol girl today WHILE giving her a lesson in Japanese shrine etiquette. Truly a diva.

Shin and Lu tag team fight scene was cool too, mafia drunk Lu is NOT someone to be fucked with, but the fact she got drunk off ethanol is killing me.

Still got several escapees out so I’m looking forward to seeing how they deal with them. The animation and production quality looks noticeably better so hopefully we’re in for a much better experience this season

Ohh, so Shin's new ability is not really about seeing the future, but instead reading the subconscience of people, which certainly makes more sense, considering his abillities.
Also, besides Shin, Lu also joined the battle, or more like, "Mafia Lu" joined the battle. It was a cool battle overall, but it's a shame both Lu and Shin fell asleep while the killer was still alive, and lost the opportunity to interrogate him, since a member from the Order ended up killing him.

But I think the big plus of this episode was seeing Osaragi fighting with that Death Row inmate. She was always an interesting character, and seeing how strong she is was really cool, and for sure the standout of the episode! Osaragi might very well be my favorite character of the anime at this point.

Interesting how one of the Death Row inmates actually turned against the ones that requested his services. I wonder if that will impact his actions from now on, comparing with the other serial killers.

Things are not looking good, because the next Death Row inmate is straight at Sakamoto's store, when he's a away, visiting Shin. Only his wife remains there, and it's clear that killer will not waste the opportunity to try to kill her, in order to affect Sakamoto. But I feel like our man Nagumo is going to save the day, I'm curious for that, since we never saw Nagumo fighting, and I feel it will be really cool.
Or maybe it's going to be Sakamato that will deal with this one.

Really enjoyed the double episode today, I actually didn't know they would be releasing 2 episodes today, but since this anime is also airing later than most other anime (that already at their 2nd episode), it makes sense it's this way.

Overall, I feel like this season so far has been of higher quality that the 1st Part. And it's still Sakamoto Days, so I'm enjoying this return!

Is this the first real order fight we get?? cuz there wasn't much in Cour 1. Anyways that was SICK, way better than episode 1 imo

A bit too much slow mo even for me as someone who enjoys this show. Been watching the dub for a change (watch the sub after sometimes or vice versa...) and I'm really loving the dialogue there lol. Looking forward to the coming arcs cuz those are truly great

Btw the new opening still blows me away for how much better it looks compared to the show XD

Yeah Cour 2 of Sakamoto Days is starting off as I expect it to be, They got better with the Effects especially with Shin clairvoyant abilities and the Comp and Artstyle are a step up, But the Animation has same issue of Lack of good Sakuga, Still Frames and Wind Effects
Too much Slo mo in the Action and changing the colors went it does is frustrating to watch, a lot of the fight choreography was kind of lacking in this Fight with Osaragi like it just looks passable
The Animation is not going hard enough and with be the same as S1 where the Animation is limited and will heavily rely on cool looking effects

Where was it said to be gag series? OPM was a parody series to begin with, but it still has super powers genre/tag whatever because they are there from the very beginning.

As far as I know, Sakamoto days is an action comedy shounen. So where does the super powers part come from? I could understand Shin, but then you get characters with super speed, strength, teleportation or whatever, being able to basically destroy a whole building with a random axe, the death row chick that shoots out spikes out of her body, etc.

Idk, it just feels very out of place for me and kinda ruins the immersion or whatever. I guess that's just me it seems.

Mafia drunk Lu was great. These serial killers are going faster than I imagined.

Poor Dump never stops a chance against Osaragi and I doubt the other serial killers will do much better against the Order.

So Shin is immediately feeling the backlash of his new power, and Lu thought it was a good idea to drink 100% Ethanol. I guess it worked out for her because she was clapping Saw’s cheeks and making him beg for his life.

I was surprised to see that there’s an entire organization with the Japan Assassin Association (JAA for short) that cleans up after the assassins, but it makes sense since the underworld is supposed to be separate from the normal world. Also I didn’t expect Hyo to show up and kill Saw.

Dump is quite the interesting one, physically speaking. Was she born with those spikes or did somebody modify her? I like how this starts off with Dump trying to get the jump on Osaragi, but instead she makes her pray to the shrine, and she isn’t taking this seriously. Throughout the fight, it seems that Osaragi is reflecting on things rather than worrying about what Dump has to offer, and Dump is trying to justify her actions by talking about love, but NOBODY CARES. YOU’RE A SERIAL KILLER WHO ENJOYS SEEING PEOPLE IN FEAR BEFORE YOU KILL THEM. So Osaragi handled business, and it seems that Taro and the crew will have a hard time trying to question these guys since The Order is making sure they die. Speaking of, I know in the trailer that Minimalist asks Aoi about Taro, so I hope that she will be fine, and it seems that Heisuke is trying to help things as well.

As for Apart, it seems that he’s gonna do his own thing and he can’t be controlled.

The ending part was lowkey impressive and hilarious at the same time. Lu and Shin tried to trick Taro,, but he was not only able to smell what was in front of him, but he was able to use a utility knife to CUT THE WATERMELON FOR EVERYBODY WITHOUT TOUCHING SHIN DESPITE THE WATERMELON BEING UNDER HIS SHIRT! THAT’S SOME CRAZY SKILL!

I can’t wait for Episode 3.

@Lampblasted I didn't even think about Floaters having to exist, but who else is gonna keep regular civilians separate from the underworld by cleaning up their messes.

In this case, Shin and Lu aren't to blame though since they had to defend themselves.

Oh damn, just when I thought it was just Shin getting an upgrade, Lu goes and gets one too when she somehow unlocked the “mafia drunk” mode, it doesn’t make a lot of sense but neither does being able to see the future lol, and hey this version of Lu is a different kind of hot so I can’t complain at all. But yeah Saw got absolutely wrecked once Shin and Lu leveled up, honestly they made him look like a jobber rather than a Death Row inmate lol, and although he managed to walk away, he was ended very quickly when hopped in the same car as Hyou, I’d say RIP but bro’s thoughts as he was about to die were “I don’t wanna die so I can kill more people!”, yeah so long buster lol.

This wasn’t the only Death Row fight in this one, we also got to see Osaragi versus Dump, and I’m ngl this was pretty much a one-sided beatdown lol, Dump got one good hit in and I think it was one Osaragi meant to take, hell I thought the fight was over after Osaragi’s opening attack so I’m thankful they had a scuffle at all lol. Dump sure was an odd one tho (and that’s not even counting her name), she had an obsession with love to the point she would kill if she wasn’t in her loved one’s mind at all times, that paired with her freaky spikes that come out of her body made her quite the psycho, but at least Osaragi gave her a satisfying death, not that she deserved a satisfying one but cool I guess lol. So far tho, these Death Row fellas haven’t been all that, in the face of a truly skilled hitman they go down like all the others, but they basically are a distraction anyways so I guess they’re doing their jobs, unfortunate for them but they’re all terrible people so fuck ‘em lol.

Honestly shin and Lu just getting these random bs power ups is definitely kinda boring I don't mind it with characters like Tarou since he is just overpowered anyways. But I mean so far these death row inmates have been really dull but I suppose the first two fell victim to bad matchups the first one being plot armour and the second one been Osaragi's badass absolute queen she was in that fight

Welp, Dump met her perfectly ironic end, at the hands of The Order's rookie, Osaragi. I'm glad she realized herself that it was a fitting end by her own "pretty" standards. Saw got absolutely wrecked by Shaotang, fled to a cab, only to get obliterated by Minimalist.

And now, Minimalist is standing in front of Aoi, searching for Tarō, but he’s nowhere to be found. Why is Aoi alone at the store? Why haven’t Shin and Shaotang headed to Tarō’s store yet, even though they’ve already dealt with Saw? Where is Tarō & Hana? Guess we'll find out in the next episode, can't wait!
